Terms & Conditions for Models (Applicants and Booked Talent)

1) Representation & Application

  • 1.1. When you apply to a casting published or forwarded by Synk Casting AB ("Synk"), you authorize Synk to represent you for that specific project and any resulting bookings.
  • 1.2. You confirm you do not hold an exclusive agreement with another agency for the same project.
  • 1.3. Casting and booking outcomes are decided by the client/production. Submitting an application or self-tape does not guarantee a response or a booking.

2) Communication & Confidentiality

  • 2.1. All casting information (briefs, scripts, addresses, links, etc.) is confidential. Sharing without permission is prohibited.
  • 2.2. Do not share your private phone number or address with clients/production. Always refer them to Synk as your contact.
  • 2.3. If someone on set wants to book you for future work, direct them to Synk.

3) Fees & Transparency

  • 3.1. Synk always communicates the fee in gross (before tax) unless otherwise stated.
  • 3.2. For international productions, compensation may be stated as an invoice amount — this will always be clarified in advance.
  • 3.3. Any extras (travel time, overtime, night/weekend supplements, buyouts) will be specified before you accept whenever possible.
  • 3.4. If the client changes terms after your acceptance, we will reconfirm before proceeding.

4) Agency Handling of Bookings

  • 4.1. If your submission via Synk leads to a job, Synk has the exclusive right to manage the booking and agreement.
  • 4.2. You must list Synk as your representing agency throughout the process.
  • 4.3. If Synk is bypassed and a direct booking occurs, Synk may invoice a reasonable agency fee based on the full amount.

5) Use of Material & Personal Portfolio

  • 5.1. Material from assignments via Synk may be used only for self-promotion, not paid advertising unless approved in writing.
  • 5.2. Only publish material that has been released by the client. If unsure, ask Synk.
  • 5.3. Credit the client/photographer where reasonable. We may require removal if the client requests it.

6) Work Routines & Conduct

  • 6.1. Assignments are side work/hobby — bookings are not guaranteed.
  • 6.2. Respond promptly when contacted. If unsure, decline rather than cancel later.
  • 6.3. Arrive to castings with a neutral look (light makeup) and follow instructions.
  • 6.4. Do not bring guests unless approved.
  • 6.5. Follow grooming and wardrobe instructions from the call sheet.

7) Working Time, Travel & Supplements

  • 7.1. Working time starts at the agreed call time on location, including preparations.
  • 7.2. Travel with production counts as working time; self-arranged travel must be pre-agreed.
  • 7.3. Overtime is charged at the agreed hourly rate.
  • 7.4. Night supplements may apply between 21:00–06:00 if agreed.
  • 7.5. An early wrap does not reduce the agreed day rate.

8) Provisional Bookings & Cancellations

  • 8.1. Provisional bookings are not guaranteed and may change.
  • 8.2. Client cancellations:
    • 8.2.1. Day before: normally 50% of the agreed fee.
    • 8.2.2. Same-day: normally 100%.
    • 8.2.3. Travel jobs: cancellation no later than 14 days prior; otherwise client covers costs.
  • 8.3. Model cancellations after confirmation should be avoided; late withdrawal may incur costs.

9) Illness, Absence & Travel

  • 9.1. Inform Synk immediately if you're ill or unable to attend.
  • 9.2. Notify us of travel periods longer than 2-3 days.

10) Payment & Payouts

  • 10.1. Payment is made after the client pays Synk, typically within 8 weeks.
  • 10.2. International clients may take 3-4 months due to payment terms.
  • 10.3. Payouts are made on the 25th each month unless otherwise stated.
  • 10.4. You're responsible for providing correct bank details.
  • 10.5. If invoicing, you must have F-tax and include all required details.

11) Changes in Appearance

  • 11.1. Notify Synk of major appearance changes so materials can be updated.
  • 11.2. Undisclosed changes that affect a booking are the model's responsibility.

12) Data & Privacy (Brief)

  • 12.1. We process personal data (images, measurements, contact info) per applicable law.
  • 12.2. You may request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us.

13) Limitation of Liability

  • 13.1. Synk is not liable for losses due to client insolvency or external events.
  • 13.2. Synk is not responsible for personal belongings on set.

14) Governing Law & Disputes

  • 14.1. Swedish law applies.
  • 14.2. Disputes should first be resolved through negotiation; otherwise in Stockholm courts.
